Discussion: 2015 Ski Orienteering Portfolio

As most of you are thinking about summer and warmer weather The ESC of the Ski Orienteering team is thinking about the 2015 World Ski O Championships in Norway next winter. Our team has been steadily improving over the past few years and we are always searching for new talent that we can recruit and train. Some of our team will be selected based on results from the winter of 2014 and the US Ski O Champs held last March in Vermont.

We also select a few members based on a portfolio of results from cross country ski races and local ski orienteering events around the United States and abroad. Since the United States is very large and the number of ski orienteers and local events is quite small we want to make sure that we don't overlook anyone with interest and ability. If you or any of your club members have potential we would like to encourage you to submit a portfolio. Cross-country skiing ability is the most important factor along some orienteering experience.

We are able to provide some financial assistance for travel and entry fees for events and training camps to selected team members.
