franklinwood: Glad it isn't shin splits. Now the question is, "what is it?" I can't believe you keep running on it without much of a break. I think you have the running addiction.

Englishrob: no pain no gain. I am pretty good at listening to my body. Heel got better really quickly, ran on it while it still hurt but wasnät bleeding. The shin is hurting all the time, last year I trained with shin splins for months, broke my 10km pb by 2 mins with them!

I am definitely addicted but probably more to the adventure than the running. Will be sticking to trail and stranger long races. Gotta keep it varied.

franklinwood: That "no pain, no gain" theory doesn't work. I can tell you are in tune with your body and that is good. To run with shin splints sounds painful. You are so macho.
