Pink Socks:
The area isn't all that big, and the same area was used for both middle and long in 2009, so you ran on a lot of it back then.

The stuff way up by the remote start hasn't been used since the middle in 2009, but Start through #4 in 2014 zig-zags through the same stuff as #4-8 in 2009.

And the hill that you ran through from 11-12 had controls on it during both the Middle and Long from 2009. And the detailed bit at the very end of the 2014 course was used in the 2009 Long.

But I also used some stuff that was never used in 2009, nor at the local events in 2012 and 2013. The "big slab" (8 and 9) has never been used for control sites, and we've never had controls where 12-13-14 were.

But there is something weird about SLS that makes you feel like you've been there before, because a lot of it feels eerily similar everywhere: lumpy knolls and rocks, fairly homogeneous forest, slabs of rock. I've spent more time out there now that probably everybody but the mapper and Eric, and I still get confused about where I am sometimes. "Wait, haven't I already been here? Where am I?"
