With just over three weeks to go things are looking very positive for a good turn out at the upcoming BC champs. 98 entries including a few from overseas and our friends from the Northwest USA are keeping us on target for about 120 - 130 on race weekend. Three new maps including our first near Invermere and an urban sprint map, in Kimberley, should make for some excellent variety. It's also nice to have new faces on the organization side as all three course planners are taking on a major event for the first time, under the watchful eye of our controllers. There are also a number of local markets, festivals and a large bike event happening so no one should lack in things to do when they aren't orienteering.

With 138 registered we've decided to extend the registration deadline until the owning of September 2nd. It would be nice to see 150 out making it one of the larger events, in the west, this year.. http://kootenayofest.com
