I had run the same course earlier in the day and had a pretty dismal time, including the incomprehensible circumstance of finding myself near the start while ostensibly going from 8 to 9. I was at the finish as you came in, really motoring, and with your much more substantial hair and beard streaming straight out in back. The announcer saw you coming and said, "and here comes the great American Orienteer, Peter Gagarin", and then "ooh, he goes so fast!" |
