Preliminary results and GPS tracks available from the News page of the event web site. Presentation I believe commences in three/four minutes.

And to have that link just one click closer, WRC 2015 website. Would be nice to hear some reflections from the Rogaine participants about how it went... after they have recovered from the weekend, of course.

The Nightcrawlers thoroughly enjoyed the event! The map was, as expected, very good, and the terrain was generally pretty fast and open, with only a limited amount of areas with either marshes or denser vegetation. The western half of the map was generally flatter, easier navigation (quite a lot more roads and tracks in this segment that was not inside the National Park), and appeared to have a somewhat higher density of control points. The eastern part of the map had quite a bit more vertical relief, and in general rather greater separation between control points. We headed off to the west, went at a somewhat faster pace than we were able to sustain for the entire event, and were far enough ahead of our planned schedule by midnight so that we added in a couple of extra controls in the latter part of the course. We finished up third in the XUV category (well behind the Latvian winners in that class), and felt pleased with both our planning and execution. While we didn't quite see more reindeer than mosquitoes in our ventures, the insects were not much of a nuisance, and the weather was beautiful throughout the event, sunny with partial clouds, daytime highs in the mid 20's (C), overnight lows around 10.
