Just returned home from the long drive with the DGL gang, thank you to all involved in the 2015 COCs for providing a great week of races and events!

Never has so much been owed by so many to so few. Oh, I guess that has been said before but it fits here, too.
One can only imagine the long hours preparing for, during and cleaning up after the events that the organizers and volunteers were putting in to the event.
For the one walk up the hill participants had for the long Pam and her crew probably had 50 ascents.
Did you notice where the water jugs were placed on the long? They weren't just beside roads and trails. Someone had to pack those jugs up the hill and deep in to the woods, then carry the empty jugs and all the cups out afterwards.
I was at first skeptical about the three-province arrangement and the spread between events and I know it kept some away but it worked out great for this sport-tourist. I had great views of some things I'd never seen in the Maritimes before like the Moncton Tidal Bore (that is an awesome show of tidal power) and Confederation Bridge. I was able to relive some other memories such as the New Glasgow Lobster Supper, first experienced in 1963.

I'm going to echo what Gord has said - what a great time my family and I had and the hard work of the organizers and volunteers was so evident in the resulting events. I too was very surprised to find (much needed) water in the middle of woods with no trails anywhere around!
This was our first Orienteering event of this scope and something we will remember for a long time. We do have some tired kids however!

This American seconds all of the above. In particular, I was pleasantly surprised that I could enjoy orienteering in New Brunswick at a venue not called Hopewell Rocks. :-)
