That's a really excellent price. Shipping free. Their return policy is insanely great.

You don't have to, but you could start by clicking through an athlete at AthleteBiz.

Some sizes running low:

Prices change a lot there, so be careful. I posted a week or so ago in the other thread about spikes, and after that, the Arctic Talons went up from $65 to $78, and the Arctic Claws up from $70 to $85, likely because people reading from that thread bought them, changing supply/demand in their algorithm.

Amazon also appears to be having an Inov-8 sale for some reason. Because it appears to have dynamic, shoe size-dependent pricing, I can't really guess how much your particular shoe will cost, but it seems to be less than the standard $120 for X-talons, e.g.

Amazon is nutso.

I've gotten some shoes from them when it's worked out for my size, and then skipped the high prices at other times. I recently got a pair of Inov-8's there in my size for $19 (!), then a few days later they were back up to $90.

Inov-8 has gotten better than a few years ago or my feet have toughened up...I was one of those that ordered the Arctic Talons.

the roclite 280's seemed like a pretty decent shoe, until I tried to lace it up firmly. not much padding in tongue, looks to be painful over the long haul. wonder if there is a fix, or a different model that does better?

We had two pair of X-talons delivered today, mine for $50 and Lyn's for 40. Both are precision fit which I want but didn't work for Lyn and are heading back already.

Note that 6pm is part of Zappos which was bought by Amazon at some point. So all the same big family. I that where Zappos paid for return shipping, 6pm will not, probably because of the low price.

That was weird.

Several models of Inov-8 shoes disappeared from 6pm yesterday, and are now back over on Zappos.

The X-talon 212's are $70, and the Arctic Talons are up to $118.

Gswede, I followed your link and ended up bying the New Balance XC700. At $29.88, I couldn't pass those up. I needed a new pair of shoes for trails and light off-trail; I know New Balance fits me well. We'll see how they do off trail. My Inov-8s still have some life in them.
