If you were here in 2002, the woods have really opened up in the past 15 years. I took a few pictures of the 'mountain bike trails' to get a sense of their characteristics.

Erik's photos do not exaggerate the situation.
Even in leaf-out summer vegetation, the forest is already remarkably open, and visibility will only get better for the event. We probably have to thank the deer, and the fingers-crossed absence of invasives.
Now if we can only figure out a way to prevent autumn's falling leaves from covering up the already-publicized new trail networks.
