Discussion: US JWOC Trials

Hey All the JWOC trials will be kicking off today with the sprint at Sierra College in Sacramento CA. I will be posting scoring updates as the weekend progresses. Go USA! Should be a great weekend of competition.

Top speedsters were Julia D and AidanM, followed by good runs from the Christopherson sisters, and David R and AJ R!

Scores after the first day.
Note the Committee received 3 petitions from athlete's who are not on JNT. The committee accepted all 3 and awarded the 100 points to those athletes. The committee received multiple petitions for lack of ranking scores and missing trials races. All petitions have been accepted. The committee will wait till after all the races are completed to decide if any changes to the descending order list will occur based on the merits of the petitions. The 3 points are for those athletes who hit the 3k time standard.

The long is concluded with Aidan wining on the men's side and Julia on the women's side. I will be posting and updated list after today but here are the results in descending order.

There was also a question about how the rankings scores were obtained. Here is the link to the JWOC rankings. http://junior-rankings.org/
There are a few cases on the girls side where they have F21 rankings and these scores were taken from the rolling rankings. Based on the rules we take the best four scores and divide those scores by 4 to get an average. In the cases where athletes have less than 4 scores they races are added up and divided by four.

Its a tight race coming down to the middle tomorrow!
