Discussion: RMOF Event Details Posted

Details are posted for the 2018 Rocky Mountain Orienteering Festival -- http://2018.rmoc.org/

* Wednesday, August 29 through Monday, September 3 (over Labor Day weekend).
* Medicine Bow National Forest near Laramie, WY.
* Co-hosted by LROC & RMOC.

This six-day meet will include a long-distance goat event, a one-may relay, four National Ranking Event days (one Middle & three Classic), and the 2018 Western States Championships. Also -- a lasagna dinner and the OUSA Annual General Meeting.

p.s. Book lodging ASAP if you plan to attend -- it's a holiday weekend and there's also a UW home football game.

I can attest to the lodging situation ... lots of places, especially the nicer/more expensive and closer to UW hotels, are booked at least for Saturday night. The Hampton Inn, with OUSA MVP rate, is available through Friday.

The Hampton is also available on Sunday night for anyone staying longer, just not on Saturday.

Right, and the hotels that DO have rooms available for that Sat night are charging twice the normal rate for both Fri and Sat

Some people are considering hotels in Cheyenne, at least for those two nights.
