Ralph:
Are we trying to guess who it is?
Jun 4, 2019 7:18 AM #
TheInvisibleLog:
We were waiting to see who was the fastest to put in a second comment. Turns out it wasn't an Australian.
Jun 4, 2019 7:45 AM #
tRicky:
Well to be fair he was probably the fastest when he was here.
Jun 4, 2019 10:01 AM #
TheInvisibleLog:
Fair enough.
Jun 12, 2019 8:58 AM #
fell:
fastest at what?
Have you ever ran up a mountain carrying a 60+kg bag of wheat?

Didn't Jo Allison run a 9sec 100m sometime in the 90s (with a monstrous tailwind)?
Jun 12, 2019 9:35 AM #
tRicky:
Well we've found Australia's slowest responder at least.
Jun 12, 2019 12:25 PM #
biddy:
One time I ate a whole pizza in 7mins. That’s pretty fast
Jun 12, 2019 12:27 PM #
tRicky:
Hopefully you're talking about a family size and not one of those airport ripoff jobbies.
Jun 12, 2019 1:10 PM #
TrishTash:
Now this is a race I can get involved in... Who can eat a family sized pizza the fastest? And what toppings would you have as a standard in the race? I would go Hawaiian :)
Jun 12, 2019 3:48 PM #
Ursus:
Hawaiian! Well, congratulations, you're now an honourary Canadian. Now cue the outrage that pineapple doesn't belong on pizza :)
Jun 12, 2019 5:56 PM #
Cristina:
Is it really a pizza if there's no pineapple on it?
Jun 12, 2019 9:54 PM #
TheInvisibleLog:
I am normally the fastest to the toilet after eating a pizza. Its the cheese you know. So could mine be a cheeseless pizza, or at least limited to fetta, or one of the cheeses available in Mr Cleese's cheese shop?
Jun 12, 2019 10:23 PM #
TrishTash:
@Ursus - Yaaaayyyyy!!!! Another Hawaian pizza friend!! :D

Pineapple is the best. On a pizza. On a BBQ. On life. Yum.

Our pizza eating contest should be totally inclusive and allow for non-lactose options and I guess gluten free options. GF would be harder to eat coz the pizza base would fall apart (no binding glutens) and would make it harder to put in the mouth when its crumbling apart - so maybe we should offer a handicap system? +%?
Jun 13, 2019 12:59 AM #
tRicky:
No it'd be made up for in the fact you have to eat cheese.
Jun 13, 2019 1:10 AM #
jjcote:
They definitely serve gluten free pizza around here for those who want it.
Jun 13, 2019 1:16 AM #
tRicky:
Do they deliver to Aus?
Jun 13, 2019 1:19 AM #
Cristina:
It couldn't possibly taste worse after the long journey.
Jun 13, 2019 10:55 AM #
biddy:
One time when I was 19 I ate a stack of pancakes faster than Blair Trewin.
True story, he can verify it.
Jun 13, 2019 11:27 AM #
blairtrewin:
I can.
Jun 13, 2019 12:54 PM #
ndobbs:
How long for the pancakes and how long for Blair?
Jun 13, 2019 1:50 PM #
gordhun:
ndobbs: Ha Ha.
Jun 14, 2019 6:59 AM #
Tooms:
I'd believe a stack of pancakes is currently faster than Blair Trewin.
Jun 14, 2019 7:52 AM #
blairtrewin:
Didn't realise Tooms was watching me running (or attempting thereof) in Darwin this week.
Jun 14, 2019 8:13 AM #
tRicky:
Well it's pretty obvious from your posts given how long it took you to run into a stationary object today. Was it moving too quickly for you?
Jun 15, 2019 2:47 AM #
tRicky:
Sad to say I knocked 28 seconds off the time that O-ing posted in Brodie's log from a couple of weeks ago but moved up zero spots in the Aus running list.

O-ing:
That's just a report from 2018/2019 5km race times on Attackpoint logs (edited with tRicky's new time!):

A fairly notable contribution would also be sometime APer Bertbennett who did a 16:32 at Lakeview parkrun this year. It is a quite hilly course - with out and back configuration. It was very impressive to see him full stride just before the long hill on the return (3-4km leg) - I was unsurprisingly on the way out.
Jun 15, 2019 9:24 AM #
Uncle JiM:
Rob also did a 15.48 on the 22/March this year. https://www.strava.com/activities/2230639516
Jun 15, 2019 10:47 AM #
LOST_Richard:
Henry has a 15:25 on the track in WA
Jun 15, 2019 10:53 AM #
tinytoes:
Uncle Jim - that is probably Newcastle's fastest parkrun venue and on the right day is brilliant. Though it still has a fair few twists and changes for surface.
Jun 15, 2019 1:03 PM #
riley mcfarlane :
Have to go with Henry McNulty. One day Henry you will pace me to my first sub 15 5k at strive!
Jun 15, 2019 1:30 PM #
simmo:
Riley pipped tRicky by 3 seconds today, but hasn't logged it, so can't go on O-ing's list. Neither can Henry or Rob until they resume logging on AP.

Just did it now!
Jun 15, 2019 2:13 PM #
riley mcfarlane :
If Aldo also did Attack Point he would be up there since he has a pb of 18:40 I think... Unlike Alvin Craig with a PB of 17 flat or my XC and Track mate Dylan Bailey with a 16:47 5k they stump everyone. Plenty of fast runners, they just don't log often or even know what the sport is!
Jun 15, 2019 2:14 PM #
riley mcfarlane :
Brodie have you or any tassies run under 15 min for 5k?
Jun 16, 2019 3:55 AM #
tRicky:
Yeah well those idiots aren't orienteers so they don't count.
Jun 17, 2019 3:56 AM #
bartholemeu:
4th fastest "orienteer" in australia who tags races as "race" and crops races to accurate race length and actively logs on ap and runs the occasional flat parkrun
...i'll take that thanks O-ing!

now to learn how to read a map...
Jun 17, 2019 4:24 AM #
simmo:
Hanny ran 16:17 in the 2007 Tassie 5000m champs, and Maja Alm has a best of 15:40 - she's aiming to run for Denmark at next year's olympics so will probably better that time soon.
