Charlie:
The last few weeks, anytime I open AP on my phone I have to log in, even if I just logged in 25 minutes earlier. Is this a new feature? Can I change it to just stay logged in? Doesn’t happen on the iPad or the desktop.

I have the same problem. But my iPhone retains the log-in info, and all I have to do is hit 'log in' in the top right corner and I'm logged in...thumbprint or password memory not required.

Not sure how that enhances security. But I think it is fully appropriate for phone security to be much tighter than on my desk computer.

Until recently I was having the same behavior as chitownclark, but recently it has started retaining my login (the opposite of charlie). Don’t know if the change happened with an upgrade of OS.

Have had no problem. Maybe an issue with the model? Mine is a 7.

Mine is also a 7. I have to use the thumbprint. Much better than typing it in, but still a bit much every time I want to open AP.

Maybe the new IOS? I don’t have the problem.

AP hasn't changed, and I have not seen this behavior personally, but I will try to track down the cause.

At least one way this can happen is if you leave Safari in "private browsing mode", which is easy to do accidentally. The title/address bar is dark with light-colored text (like AP) when private mode is on. If you find yourself in this state, toggling it back off should help.

I had never had it for a while, then started seeing it but never got around to asking, currently have forgotten to pay attention, and am now curious....and can see it now under certain circumstances. Definitely not in private browsing mode.

Iphone 7+, 12.4.1, Safari

Notes:

* Refreshing an existing AP "tab" or instance or whatever they are called on Safari mobile: fine, is logged in.

* Using my shortcut button (the kind that look like an app), it goes to AP unlogged in, logs in by clicking log in (don't have to enter anything, just click log in). shortcut appears to go to: www.ar.attackpoint.org

* Using the + button in safari (between private and done) and selecting one of the AP instances in the group of frequently visited sites: arrives logged in

* typing in attackpoint.org in the address/search bar ends up not logged in, logs in with clicking login (no typing anything, just clicking login)

* Chrome on Win10 always seems to arrive logged in

Mr Wonderful:
I take that back, clicking www.ar.attackpoint.org in my previous post in Chrome / Win10 arrives unlogged in.

If you have relatively old bookmarks and shortcuts, it may help to update them to use the secure (https) web address. The easiest way is just to delete the old one and make a new one while logged in.

Swapping for https://www.attackpoint.org version does the trick!
