JLaughlin:
The new OrienteeringUSA website has been launched.

Please update any links to Orienteering USA website as our organization has dramatically changed. If you don’t update the link, you will be redirected to the homepage.

If you visit the member portal or make a donation, it will still look like the old website but still still function appropriately. We are still working on updating this section of the website. If you do attempt to visit any link on the old navigation, it will redirect you to the new homepage.

Also, keep in mind that this is a dynamic project. It is a living site that can be edited and updated as needed. Please submit any comments, suggestions, corrections, or compliments using the Contact form.

- "Your connection is not secure. The owner of www.orienteeringusa.org has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website."

- 'Foot-O Rankings' at https://orienteeringusa.org/events/rankings/ links to some old version of the ranking page with the latest rankings from June 25, 2019

- Rotating pictures and slogans are nice but I would prefer some useful information on the home page. At least, the menu is at the top...

Yeah, I am with Peggy. I think it looks great and is far easier to navigate than the previous version. Thanks everyone!

@tapio, fixed the redirect to include 'www.' at the beginning. Also rankings will be updated when time permits.

Seems to be working on Chrome, although the few most recent rankings updates are missing - like Tapio said, it ends with June 25, 2019. A day ago, there were several more updates, through October.

Teams should have a direct link, rather than having to go through community.

Guy, check the main menu (the "hamburger"/three horizontal lines in upper right if you're on a mobile device.) There's a link there for US Teams, with a drop-down menu to select which team.

Under Communities, the junior team link (for example) goes to News articles about juniors.

Looks great, nice refreshment of the navigation structure.

Some of the images are a little heavy on the loading size. I downloaded an image and could optimize the size by more than 50% without losing any visual quality. It is being run on Wordpress right? Maybe think about installing this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/tiny-compress-images...
Should help with load times :)

Otherwise, just minor improvements that could be made on spacings of information & contrast for usability. The front page slider is nice but might steal too much attention for the hardcore visitors that are just interested in the latest news.

Nice step forward for O-USA online.
