I checked the BG website, but couldn't find the info I was hoping for.

Does anyone have a list of all the Billygoats ever run? And would I be able to find the maps anywhere?

Trying to plan a project for next spring.

The list is at https://billygoat.org/statistics/courses.html updated to 2019.

One of the things on my to-do list tonight is to send the information for updating it with this year's stats to Scott (the webmaster of that site).

I have all of the maps. I guess another good project would be to scan them all so that they could be posted there as well.

Thanks, Will. Don't know how I missed it there.

I might ask you for some copies of those maps at some point then, J-J. I'm planning to do a few reruns.

No problem. In some cases, there are newer versions of the maps, and you may want to use the newer version with the old control locations. And in some cases, there have been changes that may make the courses unworkable.

There is a good chance that the 2017 BG course at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in NY will be rerun this year as part of the WCOC/HVO Winter Series.

The Winter Series is a set of 6 or so DIY courses, usually running from late fall to early spring, where the flags for each event are out for 3 or 4 weeks. Niels is putting together the schedule and will post info when things are firmed up.

Thanks to webmaster Scott, billygoat.org has now been updated with this year's stats, and as a bonus the course data page now has scans of all of the maps!

I'll note that anyone who is interested in running these courses for training should a) be aware that some of the areas may not be publicly accessible these days, and b) you would be well-advised to seek out the latest version of the map and transfer the locations onto it. Those who ran it "back in the day" had an up-to-date map and so should you. The changes could vary from vegetation and trail changes to things that are much more significant (e.g. uncrossable fences, expanded beaver dams, expanded quarries, logging, etc.).

Enjoy!

Impressive. I think it’s important to capture info such as this for historical reasons.
