This year's Barkley started Tues. Mar. 14 and less than 24 hr in, has 7 runners on loop 3 including the World Rogaine Champ, Albert Herrero Casas.

Pavel, Eoin, and Andrea Larson are all adventure racers - plenty of navigational experience among them!

Guillame Calmettes has attended LAOC events and Andrea Kooiman attended one this year as part of her Barkley training.

Andrea should have attended more than one, she turned left and went on flat ground instead of turning right and climbing a few hundred feet.

Harvey Lewis is an ultra runner from Cincinnati who won a place in the 2022 Barkley Marathons in the 2021 Big's Backyard Ultra. He attended a couple of OCIN meets and ran the ICO 2022 24-hr Conquer the Crossroads Rogaine after the Barkleys. A couple of OCIN members have been mentoring him on map reading and moving through terrain. He finished 2 loops today, just a bit overtime.
