The Epic King of the Downs is back with a ride that punches above it’s weight and includes 10 killer climbs over 113 miles of tarmac!

This is a ride that will test your stamina, and you will reap the rewards of dramatic scenery and exhilaration. Step up to the challenge and conquer the Downs!

Read all about it on our blog and check out last year’s pre-view video!

Route Description:

Harder, longer and hillier than the usual RideIt! sportives, the King of the Downs super sportive will test your road cycling strength and endurance to the max.

We are thrilled to offer cycling along the notorious Box Hill which will be featuring heavily in the sporting year ahead. Evans Cycles RideIt! are one of the few sportive rides permitted access to this route this year and it should ride like a dream with fresh new tarmac having been lovingly applied to the surface for the year ahead!

Taking place on Sunday the 27th of May, the 113 mile challenge takes in over 10 killer climbs in the South East’s iconic road cycling areas totalling over 9,000 ft of the North Downs, the Surrey Hills, Ashdown Forest and the lumps and bumps scattered through East Surrey & Kent.

And for those looking for a shorter (but just as tough) challenge there's the 56 mile half sportive option.

Just like our usual rides, the routes are pre-marked with OS maps provided, FREE High5 energy product, Gore Bike Wear 'Try Before You Buy' service...
