This NEW competition venue consists of four state forests that abut Trout Lake in Edwards, NY, in southwestern St. Lawrence County. A very technical area, there are few trails/roads, very little elevation variance (a 2.5-meter contour interval only gives about 10 contour lines), and complex glaciated terrain that is loaded with many ponds & marshes. The town park in the hamlet of Edwards, which we shall use for base camp, has pavilions, toilets, large ball fields (for tenting), and a barbeque "shack" among other amenities.
