In the heart of Vermont’s unspoiled Northeast Kingdom, you’ll find some of the finest cross-country skiing in New England.
Come January, masters from throughout the U.S. will once again get to experience the incredible trails of Vermont's Craftsbury Outdoor Center as the 2015 National Masters returns to New England -- January 29-31, 2015.
Two Fantastic Races In One Long Weekend
2015 racing will get started on the afternoon of Thursday, January 29 at 2:30pm (tentative start time) with 10km freestyle (all categories) NM2015 individual races. An awards social will follow.
Friday will feature the normal major ski marathon festivities along with pending special activities.
Then on Saturday, January 31 the classic technique Craftsbury Ski Marathon -- the largest XC ski event in the East -- takes center stage to fill out the NM2015 bill.
The 50k or 25k CSM offers competitors a mass start, timed challenge over a beautiful, PistenBully groomed course. Feed stations dot the route every 4 to 7 kilometers. After the finish, all participants are treated to a hearty post race meal and awards.. The past several seasons have been marked by extensive work on the marathon trail now allowing organizers to feature snowcat grooming the entire route.
