This sprint adventure race is designed for racers age 8 to 88 years young who want to experience the excitement of racing off-road in a compact format or who are new to the sport. Teams of 2 or 3 will follow a map (with plotted points) to find checkpoints by foot. They’ll be located on the trails or at easily recognizable topographical features such as a stream crossing or high point. Racers will then mountain bike on the smooth and novice-friendly Bartram Trail to reach checkpoints throughout Wildwood Park. Fun mental and/or physical challenges, such as paddle boarding or completing a puzzle, will arise at some point in there, too! Estimated time to complete the race is 3 hours for more experienced racers or up to 4 hours for those newer to adventure racing. After you experience the fun and satisfaction that comes with adventure racing, we are pretty sure it will be the first of many such adventures for you!
