The Bartram’s Wildwood Epic 26-Hour Adventure Race features much of what makes Georgia so peachy—fast and smooth trails, technical single-track, amazing water views, and welcome shade courtesy of their famous live oaks. The goal for soloists and teams is to find as many checkpoints as possible in the fastest time possible via trekking, mountain biking, and paddling. We’ll have you mountain biking on the pine-needle-blanketed Bartram Trail to reach checkpoints throughout Mistletoe State Park, Wildwood Park, and Below Dam Recreation Area. You’ll canoe in one of the southeast’s largest lakes, and you’ll tackle three different orienteering courses designed to enable beginners to find mandatory points on trails or landmarks and experienced racers to add on some optional off-trail points. Of course, you’ll need to complete at least one mental challenge and a physical challenge or two during your adventure, like playing a few holes on the park’s disc golf course, with bonus points given to the team who can shoot a par score. Come join us in the birthplace of the cotton gin, Coca-Cola, and the zombie apocalypse for this most Epic adventure!
