The 6/12 hour Autumngaine will be held in Wingello State Forest and neighbouring parts of Morton National Park. An easy two hour drive down the Hume Highway from Sydney.
Beyond the pine forest there's lots of nice native bushland, plenty variety and some lovely open rainforest creeks. The ridges lead out to spots with fine views of deep gorges.
The Hash House will be on the edge of the pine forest so everyone will experience the mix of forest and terrain. It will just be as challenging as you choose to make it – some easy country close in, with a good network of tracks and paths – and some serious country further out for the adventurous. You'll be well rewarded for venturing to the extremities of the course.
It's been more than 10 years since NSWRA's last event at Wingello. There were 6 hour events in 2006 and 1989. And some of you may remember our last 'upside-down' 12 hour there in 2000.
This time it will be an 11am start for both 6 and 12 hour events. How civilised is that?
Our hash house site has plenty of space and you're welcome to camp Friday and Saturday nights.
Great food will be provided as always by 1st Waitara Scouts.
