cross country local meet with three courses White-Yellow-Orange, and a special course called Scramble.
The Scramble course will NOT be a mass start.
The scramble idea is a copy of the event that SVO has had in the past (theirs is a mass-start). It is a bit similar to a goat event. The course has to go to several controls in a determined sequence, but then, within a box, there may be 3-4 controls and the participant is free to choose whatever sequence in findiing those 3-4 controls. It is like a cross-country course with a couple of mini-score courses embedded in it.
Cost is $5, like all WPOC events.
The courses can be started anytime between 11 AM and 2 PM.
Deer Lakes county park is a large county park, with developed areas for picnic shelters, parking lots, a recreational pond, frisbee golf, but it also has plenty of forested hills.
