On 10.09 and 11.09.22 orienteering at the highest level will be offered in Toggenburg. To get used to the terrain, a regional middle distance orienteering competition on the new map 'Gänderich' will be offered on Saturday. Also, on Saturday an orienteering training with timing will be offered on the map Laui - Thurwies, above Wildhaus. The highlight is the Swiss Long Distance Championship, which will take place on the Alp Selamatt - Breitenalp above Alt St. Johann and is announced as a World Ranking Event (WRE), bulletin 1 https://tow.olregiowil.ch/component/phocadownload/.... 2000 runners from all over Switzerland are expected. The competitions will take place in terrain relevant for the 2023 World Orienteering Championships in Flims, Switzerland. Therefore, some international elite runners are also expected.
