Welcome to the Spring 2022 Park Orienteering Series! This year the spring series will be a set of 6 or perhaps 7 in-person events in Boston area parks.

Time: Start times are from 6:00 pm to 7:00pm on Thursday evenings

Registration: Pre-registration is required for all events no later than the Tuesday (2 days) before. Reserve your spot now for the full series or sign up weekly (space dependent). We will print maps based on pre-registration.

Courses: Advanced and Beginner. These are short courses suitable for evening races so Advanced courses will be between 1.5-3.5 km with 10-15 minute winning times, while beginner courses will be between 1-2 km. Advanced course runners earn points at each completed event, with your best 4 event results added to calculate your series score and overall ranking.

Fees:
- Series Registration: $24/person or $60/family
- Individual Event: $6/person or $16/family

Results: Overall times and split-times for each checkpoint will be available online after the event. Points will be awarded on the longer course, based on 20 points for 1st place, 19 points for 2nd place and so on regardless of age or gender. Your top 4 events count towards your total points score (i.e. 80 points max).

The Whipple Hill location did not work out so we have moved event #6 on June 2nd to Magazine Beach in Cambridge with Start/Finish at the Navigation Games backyard at 116 Henry Street in Cambridge. No parking is available at Henry Street so please park at Trader Joes on Memorial Drive (200 m walk).
