SMOC - Western Mich Univ Sprint - Geography Awareness Week

Come for a sprint on a new map on Western Michigan University's campus as a part of Geography Awareness Week! The map will still be a work in progress at the time of this event but it will get you to where you need to go to have a nice run on the campus. The key is to invite new people to orienteering and raise geography awareness, while also providing a new & fun orienteering venue experience for veteran orienteers. Keep checking back here often for more details. Starts begin at 10am and go until 1:30pm, courses close about 2pm. Start booth will be at Wood Hall. Courses should only take about 30 min to complete so that you can make room for it in your weekday schedule. Special thanks to WMU for providing the basemap data and for WMU Geography Dep't and GTU / Geog Club for supporting w/ publicity and event support.
