Orienteering 44:21 [3] 5.84 mi (7:36 / mi) +34m 7:28 / mi
shoes: Salomon SLAB Sense 6

First night o in a long time. Mostly new area from the King's Horse pub next to rugby club.
A bit scrappy to say the least. Map needs some work but no excuse. Messing up the north east side left no time to mop up the last few I was planning on. Missed at least 3 on the way in. Still good practise. Enjoyed it and felt a bit quicker than of late.

Wednesday Nov 14 #

Bouldering 1:00:00 [3]

Awesome walls Stoke with Henry.
Not so busy this week.

Tuesday Nov 13 #

7 PM

Running 43:06 [2] 4.82 mi (8:57 / mi) +71m 8:33 / mi
shoes: Salomon SLAB Sense 6

Easy towpath loop. Tired. Bit of cake killed the prospect of a good run

Monday Nov 12 #

6 PM

Running 30:42 [3] 3.98 mi (7:43 / mi) +71m 7:19 / mi
shoes: Salomon SLAB Sense 6

Had to try the new shoes out. They are flippin' marvelous just like the last pair I had. Just hope they last a bit longer than the others. Although I could just send them back for refund like I always do when they start to split.

Sunday Nov 11 #

Orienteering 1:02:46 [0] 5.84 mi (10:45 / mi) +294m 9:18 / mi
shoes: VJ Irock 2

West Midlands Champs in Telford Park.
Moved from Ercall because of lack of permissions.
So basically an urban/Park event.
Concentrated on the nav for this one. Regardless of speed. Still struggle in the control circle. Especially amongst vegetation.
After years of ignoring control descriptions and symbols guess I should now learn what they all mean as I ended up running back and forth over the first bridge before I saw Kirsten go straight under and nail it. A brief glance at the description after and it became obvious.
Basically ended up following her for the rest of it despite trying to lose her on the paths. She would go straight to the controls as I was still fumbling about then I'd run ahead again.
Win on M40. First time for everything. Felt very slow if I'm honest. http://html.wrekinorienteers.co.uk/WM%20Champs%202...
