Dance 1:00:00 [1]

Dropped into beg/int hip hop! They were well into their choreography, so I had a lot to learn!

Man, the hardest part is just sequencing the moves so quickly and remembering what comes next! This is great practice for my memory and focus muscles.

Tap class!

It's getting complicated enough that I need to make a portable tap dancing surface soon so that I can practice more! I have a wood board I've been using, but it's a bit too rough, and I stick. I think a rectangle of wood laminate glued to playmat foam would be better.

And, I think that tap has turned out to be actually pretty great cross-training for orienteering in a funny way. It's the amount of focus needed to execute different patterns, plus lots of balancing on one leg!

Trail Run 30:00 [3]

Disco+. This run felt great! Was wondering how it'd go after a) my inactivity at the end of last week and b) my sudden 8 miles; and it was good! I slowly trucked up some hills that I previously was walking.

Really, I'm so glad that 8 pavement miles didn't wreck me. I think the periodic breaks from looking for the SS checkpoints helps a bit.

Orienteering 1:30:00 [3]

I was TRICKED into running 8 miles! ...by Street Scramble.

Fun course running around Fremont. I love the 90 minute format. Saw lots of interesting yard art, including a large (3 foot?) golden sculpture of a baby head screaming.
