5 x 1km to celebrate approval of my paper at work.

First time on the sports field by the hospital. A bit uneven underfoot (although no rabbit holes) but is reasonably flat so much.

Still a bit of a way off where I want to be by the duathlon in a few weeks time. Knee was a bit sore after this, was a bit of a shock running at sub 4 min/km.

Quite a subdued run compared to yesterday, but still very enjoyable cruising round the seat. Felt a bit tired on the climbs as expected, but still moving OK. Lots of tourists about.

Munro Bagging with Sarah from Newtonmore

Geal Charn, Carn Dearg, Carn Sgulain, A Chaelleach.

Felt pretty tired to begin with but soon perked up and felt reasonably strong after that. Vast majority of the climb was yomping over to the first munro then it was a (30km) cruise along the ridge ticking off the other 3. Runnability relatively quick underfoot, although there were a number of patches of bog.

Nice food and 3 hour wait for the train in the Newtonmore grill afterwards.
