Went up to see a wind farm I've (indirectly) invested in.

Sadly the road I wanted to follow on the OS map turned out to be a fenced off farmers track so bit of a longer run in. First site of the turbines after 3-4km, and thought it would just be another km or so. They're just so big it was missing with my distance estimation so it was another 5km till I got to the base of one. Pretty incredible structures.

Bit cold on the way back into the wind and started to drizzle. Arms and hands a bit numb until I dropped a lot of the height.

Good evening oot. Knee bit iffy after 35-40mins and once finished, but between that was just too cold for it to hurt...

Very nice plod up and around the mountains.

Really steep uphill to get onto the ridge (with lots of faff trying to follow the path). Went east along ridge to coincide with the reasonably strong westerly 30mph wind. So temperature fluctuating quite a bit depending on whether we had a cross-tail or tail wind.

Awesome views popping in and out as the cloud cover came and went. A bit of a slog back to the car once we'd finished the last hill.... but it was an awesome descent down into the main valley initially, felt like a proper wild outing like something out of Braveheart.
