Legs felt good before bed last night but glutes seized up over night. Said id head up to santry and see how the warm up went. Loosened out a fair bit so gave the 5000m a bash. Fairly poor field and ended up coming second. Pretty happy with time given race yesterday. Was in 2nd place for most of the race slipped back to 3rd on maybe the fourth last lap but put in the effort on the last lap for the full 400m to put myself fairly comfortably back in 2nd.
Shoutout to Jonny for shouting lap times at me!

IMRA College Champs
3rd - unsure of time but throwing in 50 minutes for the moment and will update after. Think it was in the region of 48?
Really enjoyed this, felt reasonably strong, although certainly a very tough race. Struggled on the fairly brutal final accent but got through it. With nobody in contention behind me on the way down i didn't exactly do a kamikaze on it (unlike Colm Hill back in 2011 apparently), but still kept a good speed the whole way down.
That false summit (x2) was harsh. Very harsh.
Disappointed to miss Bull Island but such is life.

Signed up for 5km Track and Field tomorrow.. Legs feeling quite decent though so hopefully they'll still feel like that in the morning
