Treadmill hills (Min on/off) 50:00 4.5 mi (11:07 / mi)
Decent run. Hopefully after more strength training, I can start enjoying the hills again.
Weight training (Lower body) 30:00
Good workout. I'm glad that I can start lifting weights again. I had stopped based on my doctor recommendation. Building muscle uses a lot of iron and energy.
Trail Run long (Long run) 2:05:00 10.25 mi (12:12 / mi)
Beautiful morning run. Really pushed hard on second half.
Mountain bike ride (Ride) 55:00
Fun ride. Originally I had planned on a leisurely ride but with the second clip of my shoes, I decided to exercise some inner demons and push. Trail was really dry and loose in the corners.
Concrete/road run tempo (Short interval) 55:00 5.25 mi (10:29 / mi)
Good early morning run. I was able to hold between 8:20 and 8:30 for the minute. I never checked speed on short intervals but definitely much faster. The speed work was on a soft track so that I wouldn't have to worry about impact on my knee. No problems developed. I don't think I mentioned that I'm on a 2nd iron supplement now. About a week ago, I woke up covered in bruises again and the skin on my knee had turned brown and started peeling around the hot spot. It turned out that my iron level had plummeted again. So now I'm on Phase 2 and feeling much better and there's no chance that my knee will spontaneously combust.
