Today did not go well. First, i was tired and woke up at 9:45 am which is super late for me. I felt okay though. I got good sleep, same breakfast, same tailwind in my pack, etc. I started out ok, it was 90 degrees but it was 90 yesterday and not too bad. I went out the same route and figured I'd go out and back 8-10 miles and finish on treadmill. I turned around at 5 miles and realized i felt mentally tired and my legs were tired. I ignored it at first and ran next 2 miles at 8:20 pace and then just started to slowly slow down. I just felt tired but my stomach also started to bloat and even though i was drinking my tailwind, my stomach felt like it wasn't taking it. I started to feel sick and burping a lot, with some nausea. so i ended up walking the last mile home. I did 10 miles but ran 9. not a good day.

warmed up 5-10 minutes and ran same course as yesterday with gradual incline up first 1/2 and down second 1/2. It was at 8:30s mile 3 and 4 then at turn around hit 7:50-8:00 pace for next 3 miles. the last minute i jogged easy at like 9s with 4 strides at 6:30 pace for 30 seconds x 4. it was 90 degrees and i felt as good as I could with that temp!

I had strained my intercostals 4 weeks ago so have avoided all core work since it hurt. I will do this tonight and some upper body work.

wow, 85 degrees feels pretty great. went out and did some rolling hills. still a little sore from all the mountain running. but not bad.
