I slept in today and didn't start running until noon. yeah i know, not ideal. I ran the first two hours outside. Temp said 85 so I figured it would be fine. The temps weren't that bad on roads getting to trails but on some parts of the trail it was hot and no wind. I started to walk up steep hills i usually run. I stopped my watch and didn't count them. wasn't many but i decided to run home and did last 55 minutes on my treadmill. i had run out of fluid anyway, i was drinking a lot. once out of desert it was cooler running home and wind felt good. It's amazing the temperature difference though out on desert trails versus community. I was running 8:42-8:49 on treadmill. last 5 minutes i cooled down at 10 minute pace.

warmed up then did 1 min at 7 min pace x 5 with a few minutes easy. then 10 x 10 sec hard (5:20 downhill and 5:50 uphill) x 10 with like 2 min easy after each.

I was determined to get this workout done. So i warmed up and did the following:
5 min at 4% at 8:49 pace with 2 easy (felt too easy)
5 min at 4% at 8:41 pace w/ 2 easy
5 min at 4% at 8:34 pace w/ 2 easy
5 min at 4% at 8:27 pace w/ 2 easy
5 min at 4% at 8:20 pace w/ 2 easy

15 minutes jog.

ran roads to trail hills and home. i missed weekend run and so did a tad more.....
