Checking out Darien Lakes State Park for possible orienteering map using a basemap provided by Tom Rycroft. Area is not that great. Nice trails for snowshoeing or backcountry skiing though. Woods pretty thick for the most part. Able to use boots to get around. Temps below 23ยบ F the whole time.

Intended to run outside but near the end of my 3 minute warm up walk it started snowing like mad. That combined with the wind sent me back indoors to the treadmill. Snow stopped soon after. Listened to "The Daily" a New York Times podcast.

Fun to run in the sun, regardless of the cold. Wearing multiple layers makes you feel slow. Idiot iPhone died from the cold partway through.
