Sunday Apr 23 #

1 AM

off road 1:29:16 [3] 8.0 mi (11:09 / mi)

Tinsel Trot from bottom car park- bone dry

Controlling 1:00:00 [2] 3.0 km (20:00 / km)

Well planning actually -Rodway etc
Token time and dsistance

Saturday Apr 22 #

road run 8:00 [2] 0.5 mi (16:00 / mi)

Limited warm up

orienteering race 1:12:24 [4] 5.6 km (12:56 / km)

Leckhampton Common- farce at the start then complete bodge at 5 -looking near 6 - scale issue. Also messed up 18 by looking at map for 19
Fragile knees could not cope with very steep downhills - a bit of a nightmare actually. Not NGOC fault, its an interesting area and course just age and decrepidness
May not be able to run - certainly not orienteer for some days

Friday Apr 21 #

off road 1:15:00 [3] 6.0 mi (12:30 / mi)

Run with Mark, Alice and Helen in the Quantocks
Really nice morning for it- hills are now green
Alice brought Birthday cake which was well received!

Note

Walk around Rudry with Chralie and then Cardiff Curry with Charlie and Huw

Thursday Apr 20 #

off road 1:02:10 [3] 6.0 mi (10:22 / mi)

Purdown very dry and hard - ground in good condition -sunny. A little disappointed in the time for this late pm run

Wednesday Apr 19 #

orienteering race 58:20 [5] 6.1 km (9:34 / km)

Parkend - BOK Army pop up event - quite fun because forest in good condition and remarkably all controls sited on bits of map that made sense in the right place and not hidden. Not a bad run lost a bit of confidence in the small tracks (because of bike tracks) which indirectly meant I missed 13 (perhaps 1+ min?) but not a bad run at all. Soundly beaten by Isla Simmons -who was quick -well done Isla!
1 AM

off road 15:00 [2] 0.8 mi (18:45 / mi)

Warm up

Tuesday Apr 18 #

flat efforts 53:08 [5] 4.0 mi (13:17 / mi)

Oldbury Court session 11 x 2 mins with max 90 secs. Nice and sunny session a bit more fragmented than sometimes e.g. had to stop for a dog.
