Westhill Duathlon run #1
A fairly uninspiring 2 laps of a housing estate. Took it quite steadily off the start and gradually moved up to 3rd by the end. Legs bit heavy but bearable.

Managed to get through the transition only loosing a bit of time and a few places. Went ok and managed to overtake a few people but then got overtaken by a few people on fancy tri bikes. Aerobically felt fairy easy but legs tired. Averaged about 32.5kph.

Legs felt like jelly for the first 500m or so then managed to get them moving and up to an okay pace. Overtook a few people and moved up to about 6th. Also got 1st junior.

Easy pre breakfast. Felt fine and easy.

Steady 10k from Bridge of Ess round the bridges then finished at the visitor centre. Legs a bit tired in the last couple kilometres, not surprised with plenty of miles in the past week.

WU, legs feeling good and loosened off quickly.

4 x 2km with 2' recovery. Started off well on the first one, everything felt good. Fairly comfortable 6:50. Second one more gradually uphill, legs struggling to shift lactic and no were near goal pace - 7:19. Third one legs heavy and lacking fast turnover - 7:04. Last one still not shifting lactic very well and legs quite heavy - 7:08. Not the best session but got some good effort in so can't complain too much. Bit perplexed but possibly not quite recovered from Sunday.

Short and easy run around queens loch and some of Aboyne. Stopped to do 10' of tec drills after a few minutes. Focussing on holding good form. Also did a quick round of the drills at the end.
