Did some other static stretches after for my groin
Orienteering race 3:00:45
Lynn Valley Adventure Race! A different peak to peak then the Hamilton race... a bit more literal out here!
This wasn't exactly a great race for me as I went out with next to nothing for a plan besides the side of the map I wanted to be on. There were lots of controls out there! I also wore my o-shoes with studs which was good in the forest... not ideal for the amount of road running at the beginning and end though. The forest was super fun and I really enjoyed the new terrain, nav wise I got confused by the number of trails that weren't all on the map and some that were were very difficult to find on course. This threw me off for a few controls.. also wasn't super focused going into the control circles/ not reading descriptions. But besides that it was a lot of fun, the strategy in Rogaines is always a challenge and I realized with about 45 mins left that I really needed to book it to get back on time... if my Garmin connected I'm guessing that the pace would have increased dramatically!
Looking forward to next year :)
