East District XC Relays - Glamis Castle

Beautiful course through the forest trails of Glamis Castle. Constant rain all day so was ideal xc conditions!

I ran 1st leg which was great fun. Legs felt amazing after very little training this week. Unfortunately my lungs did not. Managed to survive most of the race but possibly pushed a bit too hard on the trail back along the river trying to catch the girl in front of me. So when I hit the softer ground and slight hill in the final open loop, I was really struggling to get enough oxygen in and wheezing away. Lost a fair bit of time and couple of places but hey can't do much about being sick!
