Run from Sedbergh via Lockbank Farm up Winder, Arant Haw, back to Winder and down. Enjoyable contrast to yesterday despite the wind, rain and cloud. Hanna’s junior race on south side of Winder later quite a tough route!

Scottish Orienteering Championship - Dalbeattie
In a nutshell - rubbish. #4 and #17 were the big losses. Will be interesting to see what control I did punch at mispunched #12. Map very green and that summed up the run.

Update - GPS plot suggests big crag I hit was likely #12 or very close, but didn't see the kite. Got distracted by a w21e coming out of their lower control so dropped lower and mispunched. Interesting how hard most folk found the courses. Take heart from doing most of course ok. The controls I lost time on I must’ve just missed before losing lots of time hunting. Plan was ok, execution just off.

Session - 3 x Warriston big loop
Paces - 6.13, 6.14, 6.06
Took the session pretty steady, but tbh, couldn't run that much faster at the moment. Just four of us with Rob miles ahead, and Dave/Stuart a gap ahead on first two, though was quite close on last one. Session was 3 x 10mins (2min recs), but loop is close enough to 10mins that just did 3 loops. Last two loops slightly shorter as used short cut at the start/end.
