Run up South Ridge which is the 'easiest' of the East Peak summit tracks. The others involve rock climbing above huge cliff faces and limited tracks are harder to follow. Given I was on my own and the weather was getting pretty bad I played in safe. On the ascent I lost the path occasionally but never too far off. At about 600m (of 1350m elevation) I was in the clouds and wet with little visibility. After I got to the saddle at Jungle Rum could not see more than about 10m and there was no track, just rock scrambling. Finally got to the top and it was freezing and so windy and could not see more than a few metres. The descent turned out to be harder because on the way up you just had to keep heading up when there was no visibility but on the descent every direction was down. I was often losing my way and ended up being heavily reliant on my GPS track for which I had recorded on the way up (there was no phone reception for the Apps I normally use for tracking and maps). There would have been no way of finding the other routes down if I had attempted them. At the finish also ran up Yellow Pinch Mountain for the extra climb as this run also doubled with works WSP Virtual Fun Run which I would qualify for most elevation.
