RR10 Manor Farm - 168th
Really nice course around the country park and by the water. Some narrower sections and nice trails through the wood. Plan was steady so started off and just let lots of people overtake. Was thinking before and most of the race, whether it's worth turning up to races and not running them as races. Found it a bit depressing and was thinking a nice solo trail run around the woods would be more fun and less pressure to run or worry about speed. Both quad's tired from strength work again (don't think it was from the injury) which wasn't that pleasant, meant the legs felt knackered and it felt tougher than it should. Could feel my right foot pain again after, so have decided to take some rest plus tone back the strength work.

Test Valley trails with John
John had suggested 11 miles but said that was too far. This week hasn't ended up being a rest week, same as the week before so I will make sure next week is easy. Loop west from the john o gaunt pub through Houghton to Broughton on the Clarendon way then back to the Test valley. Good to have a catch up, felt the effort at times. Was worried about my niggles from fairly early on, fortunately didn't get any worse. Back started aching a lot stood in John's kitchen. Hoping to continue to improve then build some exciting plans, maybe an OSR mountain weekend.

Closed roads around town and the common, good fun. Mostly pretty steady, some very slow bits stuck behind families and a couple of quicker blasts. Fast on the avenue and a 50m drag race!
