I think I'll call this 'deconstructed hills'!! I need to do hill sessions, I need to refund my hill climbing/descending strength, but my brain wasn't very focused and my body was so creaky this morning!! Under-fuelled was not helping either. Calmer days ahead hopefully, so time to focus on a bit of well-being for all.
But it was a lovely session, if slow. In the rain, taking random undulations as the feet decided. It's a start :-)
Running 4:19 0.47 mi (9:12 / mi)
Hiking 40:14 2.05 mi (19:35 / mi) +44m 18:21 / mi
Running 23:39 2.61 mi (9:04 / mi) +41m 8:38 / mi
A bit of a token effort, but legs felt better than yesterday. Nice to run somewhere different. More Darnaway running in future
Running 28:51 3.23 mi (8:56 / mi) +39m 8:37 / mi
Feeling really lethargic and sleepy today and nearly bailed. But Scarlett needed air as well, so a bimble round the Hill 99 trail, while Scarlett did her C25K. Drizzle and pollen laden puddles. Definitely better for doing it.
Cycling 25:51 4.7 mi (5:30 / mi) +12m 5:28 / mi
Bike to beach for a swim. Even dragged the eldest out although there was no way he was swimming!! They even managed to be pleasant to each other for about 50% of the time!!
Cycling 26:15 4.7 mi (5:35 / mi) +33m 5:28 / mi
Cycle home. Sibling hostilities resumed ... Sigh
Running 1:46:05 7.73 mi (13:43 / mi) +273m 12:22 / mi
Body wasn't really willing for this, I so nearly went for a bike ride and probably should have! But I didn't, was far too late setting off and so it was fairly warm!! Just very creaky. But it was lovely on the trails all the way to Randolph's Leap where it for busy. Turned around when I realised that having to dodge everyone on the narrow trails was tedious and I really wasn't feeling very sociable!
The sun was glorious, it was fab sitting on a rock in the middle of the river, feeling joy, and the low water meant I could scramble along as well.
Cycling 41:57 7.59 mi (5:32 / mi) +74m 5:22 / mi
To Jane & Alan for a very much needed bit of social interaction with real live adults, rather than just my kids!! Was sooooo good :-D
Cycling 18:13 2.6 mi (7:00 / mi) +10m 6:56 / mi
Cycle to the river so Scarlett could get some social action with friends ... If it improves the teenage hormone hell, then hallelujah!
Cycling 14:26 2.34 mi (6:10 / mi) +28m 5:57 / mi
And home just before it got seriously hot
Running 53:20 5.79 mi (9:13 / mi) +91m 8:47 / mi
And then a very easy bimble in Culbin. Still pretty warm at 8pm.
Heel sore, but bearable.
