Physical 5.1k race but I felt good after yesterday. Lots of wide running avoiding the forest on this map and I think everyone was making mistakes. I was sloppy early getting caught in the forest rather then staying on the tracks, a lot smoother by the end.
Classic parellel error coming down the hill on the wrong ski run which lost me about 2.5min. Fun and frustring race.

My bawbaw trail half mara
Pretty tough course. 10% climb for the first 5k and up and down technical single trail.
Took the lead in the first 200m and never looked back.
First 5k considering my cold earlier in the week I was feeling alright (not 100%) up the hill.
Second 5k felt like I was flying through the technical single trail until a narly stack on my arm. Not broken but pretty shaken I took a while to get going again. After that there was this out and back sectikn which I didn't know about ('my fault). Spent a minute or so cursing until I decided to turn back and found a back sign.
The last 10k was undulating with more single trail and just held in there the best I could with some help from some gels.
Not a great field but enjoying the victory

Terrain/sprint ints at Darebin park. Such a cracker area even with a few dubious control sites. roughly 5x4min mass start courses.
Still not 100% healthy but better then tuesday. Getting in a good dose of codral helps.

Ran out of juice today. Half way through the second and felt like I was standing still on the third.
I've been fighting off a flu for a few days now but this session meant it got the better of me with a solid fever later in the night. Few easier days ahead
