A tough 2-hour score-O at Big Basin. I fell hard en route to the 3rd control and injured my knee a bit, but it didn't bother me until the nasty climb at the end. Fortunately, I had a pretty solid strategy and ended up getting second place.

Mapping/Course Planning at Joaquin Miller Park for my event in July. The map is relatively good and the vegetation is almost perfect in the east, but some areas have annoying quirks which make it difficult to see what part of the map is correct and what part is wrong. Also, some parts have newly fallen trees and expanding undergrowth that can make mapping it quite cumbersome.

This is the east side (and slightly better-mapped side) of the park if anyone's interested: http://baoc.org/gadget/cgi/reitti.cgi?act=map&...
