Stretching as much as I could with the bad ankle

Note
(injured)

Ankle pretty badly swollen/puffy so running SSS will depend on recovery.

Looks like I have no choice but to give up the challenge of doing 1hr of activity everyday for this year - not worth training if injured. The whole point was to get me into a habit of exercising and i felt it served its purpose well. Dedicating "me" time to exercise everyday is actually more of a challenge than i imagined, particularly at college. It got me doing walks/runs when i didn't want to and i'm in a good routine with yoga so i'll try to keep that up.

Rolled ankle going down Jerusalem Bay. Just got complacent for a split second and twisted it on a rock. Will smash it down the descent again as soon as it heals. Hope it's ok for SSS.

ahr:122 max:170 shoes: Newton Distance V

5 x continuous climbs up Ethan's Hill. Practicing hiking up most of the way, focusing on form and light jogging on the flat sections. Feet seemed to be ok once i was warmed up so did one running rep up Marona Firetrail and smashed it on the way down.

Running 53:58 intensity: (6:16 @1) + (29:12 @2) + (12:19 @3) + (2:32 @4) + (3:39 @5) 8.59 km (6:17 / km) +291m 5:22 / km
ahr:132 max:180 shoes: Newton Distance V

Scouting out the route for college bushwalk tomorrow. Christie Park crossing was too wet, soccer field crossing was doable but would sketchy on the slippery rocks. Brown's crossable. Couldn't resist grabbing 2 segments on the way back but strava robbed me of 1 because i was too close to it at Brown's so i'll need to come back... :( The other felt good - sub 3min/km for 400m. So much for resting and taking it easy

Couple of easy laps of Riverside Drive just before the rain. Powermeter kept dropping out.

ahr:89 max:127 shoes: Asics Gel Rocket (Squash No.2)

Social session at Mac. Went with some mates from college and played with lots of different people. Seemed to be above average there on reflexes and strength but control/tactics were much different to squash. Less physical, more accuracy and had to adjust swing. Badminton coach gave me good free tips and let me use his racket which was sooo much better than my $20 crap rebel sport one. Good fun.

SSS #25 - Chatswood Chase

500
1st JM and 7th Overall

Some runs you feel amazing and some you don't. This run i suffered. Big time. Started off really well until about 15mins in when i got stomach issues real bad for the rest of the way and light headed/dizzyness by the end. Plenty of times i wanted to cut it short but knew i needed to get a decent score to keep JM hopes alive so pushed through. Pace slowed down about 20% compared to usual costing an estimated 3mins but luckily navigation was close to perfect and timed all the traffic crossings to perfection.

Tricky map with no distinct route options so made for lots of out-and-backs and with the bad weather and traffic made for lots of choices. Felt i chose a decent route and originally planned to go for 570 but dropped 20 and 27 on the way. Happy to nail most of the nav around Chatswood Chase.

Errors:

Turned east instead of west at the bottom of the stairs at 13 (30 secs)
Took the safe option crossing the bridge from the south to 1 but could've potentially crossed the creek (15 secs)
Had to approach 28 from east side from 2 due to traffic (15 sec)

Left: 12 (never worth it), 5, 7, 20 and 27

Went: 26-9-8-23-15-24-21-11-13-1-25-17-30-3-10-19-29-2-28-18-6-16-14-22-4

9 PM

Yoga 17:19 intensity: (17:18 @1) + (1 @2)
ahr:55 max:71

Late night stretching. Feet been hurting slightly when walking around but ok when I run. Really hope its not the start of a stress fracture. Will ease off running for a week or so to see if there's any improvement
