Sunday May 24 #

10 AM

Hill running 3:04:44 [3] 35.02 km (5:17 / km) +1350m 4:25 / km

Running up nearly all of the Scolty paths. Seven good climbs and one short one. There are probably one or two more I didn't do but this was plenty. Seemed like there should be more ascent so think my watch is under recording on most hill runs. Took water and had a spring gel. Started fading on the last climb but then got a second wind in the final 2km home.

Saturday May 23 #

Running, mostly off road 1:15:40 [2] 17.21 km (4:24 / km) +190m 4:10 / km

Easy Corsee and Brathens loop. Was feeling quite fresh today but kept it easy since I've been more tired than normal this week. Just did a few relaxed strides.

Friday May 22 #

10 AM

Running, mostly off road warm up/down 58:00 [2] 12.25 km (4:44 / km) +100m 4:33 / km

Easy warm up and strides on the paths around town and in the park. Windy day.

Road Running intervals 18:35 [5] 4.93 km (3:46 / km) +320m 2:51 / km

10 x Mount street hills (jog down recovery) then 1200m flat effort straight after. Found the hills hard, was tired and struggling to get up to max effort for the first few but they got better throughout and the final one was my quickest. Wind was helping in places but kept changing direction and wasn't that useful. The flat effort felt way easier than the hills.
6 PM

Running, mostly off road 34:12 [2] 7.61 km (4:30 / km) +70m 4:18 / km

Easy Corsee run with the dog. Had a virtual physio session earlier in the day so got a few new things to try for the dodgy foot. Seemed a lot better on this run so hope it continues.

Thursday May 21 #

11 AM

Running, mostly off road 1:06:16 [2] 15.11 km (4:23 / km) +110m 4:14 / km

Easy one on the Deeside line and back through Crathes. Kept it flat and didn't feel too bad.
6 PM

Running, mostly off road 44:22 [2] 9.34 km (4:45 / km) +100m 4:31 / km

Easy Crathes loop with Ginie plus a detour to the allotment. Legs feeling good again.

Wednesday May 20 #

7 AM

Hill running 1:55:50 [2] 23.06 km (5:01 / km) +750m 4:19 / km

Some early Scolty and Goauch climbs. Ended up having more time free in the day so did a 2hr walk plus 2-3 hours of garden work, mainly digging out and lifting turf. Tired by the end of the day.

Tuesday May 19 #

Running, mostly off road warm up/down 34:36 [2] 8.01 km (4:19 / km) +60m 4:10 / km

On the paths and park through the town with a few strides. Back the same way.

Running, mostly off road tempo 1:00:36 [4] 18.0 km (3:22 / km) +270m 3:08 / km

Tempo run on the shooting greens and river loop with the extra hill to the car park added in. Felt pretty good all the way, had the usual struggle to get up to speed coming back along the river. Always feels like a headwind there. Enjoyed it and felt like a good workout.

Running, mostly off road 33:42 [2] 7.44 km (4:32 / km) +80m 4:18 / km

Easy Corsee woods loop. Foot been stiff again but other bits not too bad.
