After message last night, I rested during the day then out tonight. For 2 miles I had absolutely no pain and it felt great! But from then on, the Soleus area/very top of Achilles started to get gradually sore. I cut what was meant to be a 50 min run earlier than planned as I felt things weren't going to get any better.

Easy run, tightness in calf but not massively sore, just uncomfortable. Message therapist tonight

Easy run with club members, ran with a slower group. Very little soreness or discomfort- starting to think positively about being able to run!

Another easy run to test the calf, definitely the most positive run yet. Went easy to start and gradually picked up the pace. I could feel a very slight niggle, but no bad at all. I'll try again tomorrow. The wine bottle is getting less sore, so probably a good indication that things are loose.

Easy first mile then tried to move a bit quicker, adapting my normal running style just to test calf. It wasn't painful, but I'm aware that there's something there. It didn't get much more sore as the run progressed. Still quite sure that it couldn't last the marathon distance but it's definitely improving. No soreness after run.
