Max was keen to go walking so decided to go back to Chapelgill which had been so lovely yesterday. Weather was not so good. Very cold and windy. The ascent took 1 hr and 5 minutes at a reasonable walking pace.

Chapelgill Hill Race and first of the Scottish Champs Races. It's such a steep and persistent climb. Immediately at a walk and feeling the pain. Descent really hard as well and watched a couple of strong descenders whizz past. Bit disappointed that I couldn't push harder. About 18 secs faster than last year. I'll be pretty far down the field of 178 runners.
