A few inches of snow, I skipped strides as I did bonus ones earlier in the week and I would have been sliding everywhere. Tomorrow's night run may be...interesting. Perhaps I'll do it low down in the woods.
P&C routine plus some upper body stuff. The front raises were hilariously embarrassing, bugger all weight and some lovely grinding noises coming from my shoulders. Still, if I suck this much then surely that means I'll make heaps of progress...

Time almost got away from me today, 3 hours talking utter shore and drinking coffee. Run went pretty well though, 8 hill sprints on a shallower tarmac path than usual and a little rushed but pretty positive. Tired glutes towards the end of the run but my various niggles seem to be in check.

I added strides yesterday where there should have been none so almost skipped them today. Felt fine though so did them anyway.
Walked into the gym to find a gaggle of paddlesports instructors doing lunges in there jeans. Did walks and squats in the climbing wall. Feet sinking into the mats probably added unwanted stability to the squats but at least I got something done. Hurdles and a few upper body exercises once the boaters had fucked off.

I do plan on using the Pentlands as a terrible weather reserve training venue this winter but holy fuck that drive gets tiring!
Back and organised just in time to get my run in, do strides and only turn up ten minutes late for work. Felt pretty good actually, quads maybe a tiny bit tender but turning over well for the most part.

Hauling 2 unnecessarily heavy bags round the Pentlands. Weight didn't make me want to cry, so that's a positive sign. Legs were good, eating went well (~900kcal of gels and malt loaf), blahblahblah.

In Edinburgh, so hillier running round Arthur's seat. A little clunky, maybe due in part to 3 hours in the car after yesterday's run. Right shin occasionally tweaking on the downs but mostly fine.
Hill sprints were good. Got where I wanted to do them and there were a bunch of runners there! Such is life in the big smoke.
