Just enough jogging to warm up and do 6 strides, which felt like pretty hard work.
Going down to my dad's this afternoon with bike and climbing gear so there may be a few multi activity days but any cycling will be at a very sociable intensity.
It's been mega warm this weekend (20 fecking degrees in Aviemore!) and is to stay above freezing in the hills through the coming week so I can't see the 4000s not being in good nick for early May.
Cycling (Easy) 1:19:00
Not quite a total soft pedal but pretty close. A bit of bouldering earlier in the day. Feeling pretty healthy again.
Running (Easy) 40:00 5.4 km (7:24 / km) +201m 6:15 / km
Sense prevailed, I skipped the race and spent the day trying to soak up vitamin d.
I won't do tomorrow's session but will probably go for a longer easy run, a bike ride or maybe even (shock horror) a walk in the hills. The weather's too good to waste.
Will there be changes to be made because of skipped days or just write them off and get on with it?
Running (Easy) 1:13:00 10.9 km (6:42 / km) +367m 5:44 / km
Some at the top end of easy, a nice evening to stretch the legs out. 6 hill sprints. Had felt a little lethargic after a pretty easy week and a few coughs.
Didn't run yesterday, felt the beginnings of grottiness after my day in the car and thought it better to try and be at my best(ish) for this weekend's sessions. I promise to do my best to do my best to stick to the coast the downhills plan, honest!
Running (Easy) 39:00 6.4 km (6:06 / km) +149m 5:28 / km
Shaking out after all day crammed in the car with a coughing toddler. A few gentle speed variations.
Running (Easy) 1:01:00 10.5 km (5:49 / km) +226m 5:15 / km
A few brisker sections, feeling alright.
