Evening pootle along the coastal trails below Montaña Rosa, very cool scenery and spot on running temp with the sea breeze. Perfect way to end a pretty perfect day actually. Started with some work up high on the Teno Massif, Sa Colabra vibes. Then the rest of the day we took a boat out to look at the Los Gigantes 500m high lava flow cliffs AND dolphins! Amazing geology and wildlife, what more could you want really? Then this run, a wee sea swim, and pizza and sangrias for tea. Best part is that Edi uni is paying for it all.

Up Montaña Rosa, legs still not feeling very sprightly. Calfs felt so heavy and dead. Put in a bit of an effort in on the climb. Beautiful sunset views at the top. Had planned to do a bit further but ran out of time.

Tenerife! Here for the next 10 days on a uni field trip. Schedule looks quite intense and it is HOT but hopefully can get some runs in, at least a couple quality sessions if nothing else. Unfortunately not staying at altitude lol. Based in El Médano.
Wee jog from the hotel after we arrived. Hotel is right on the edge of town next to the beach and wee national park area with a mini volcano! So lots of cool wee trails to explore. Had planned on going up the volcano (500m run, 170m elevation) but legs were in no state to do so after the hill race last night (with zero wd) and 5h flight. Felt like I was running through soft sand, because I literally was. Fatigue was mainly in my calfs, can do as many calf raises as I want but nothing quite hits like a proper hill!

Holyrood by headtorch Carnethy hill Race. Had planned to do a tempo around b&b, but when kirsty said this was on I figured it would be a more fun option. Asked her to pace me round, helped with hill motivation! Working hard up the hills and trying to pick up the pace on the few flat sections. Civerinos pizza with the gang afterwards <3
