I have to say I am disappointed with my run, I knew the steep climb to Ponchette would be slow and hard work but I had expected the middle section to go better.... I just never managed to get into a rythm, my legs were heavy and useless, I had to walk every uphill of this undulating section and just about jog the flat bits :( It did give me time to take in the incredible views, although I couldn't stare for too long without feeling dizzy and loosing the little balance I have...
The final downhill to Zinal was very steep as expected, but not scary - big relief!
Crossed the finish line without too many aches and pains (apart from a pounding headache randomly!) so hopefully the recovery will be smooth.
I feel like by going so slow I haven't respected the toughness of the course and got away with the easy option... not that I pretend to be able to run it fast, but angry and disappointed with myself to not have tried harder....
